Mario Torres, singer, song writer, guitarist, VR protagonist, and founder of the Tejas Kings.
Mario has worked with bands in north/central Texas.
He has almost everywhere, dance halls, clubs, including the legendary Gruene Hall, Silverwings Ballroom, Rockabillys West, Agora Ballroom, and the Texas World Speedway.
While living in Dallas, he worked with several bands for a brief period. It was in Dallas, that Mario gave his life to Jesus.
He worked with several Christian ministries and praise/worship teams in Deep Ellum, Fort Worth, Dallas and North Texas area. He has worked with gospel legend Dorothy Norwood New York, Cynthia Greene of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Phillips Craig and Dean, Jesse Duplantis, MTV pop diva Mikaila, international Messianic artist Ted Pearce, Big Methuselah, Rohn Bailey, and Gregorian Rock.
He has performed on Daystar Christian television network and the legendary Dallas Power FM 89.7 Christian radio.
In 2007 Mario released Latin rock instrumental CD titled "Sojourn" in 2007.
In 2010 Mario founded Tejas Kings and released a Christian blues CD titled "New Beginnings" in 2012.
Mario continues to explore and record new music, with an occasional release. Tejas Kings has performed at several events and venues in North and East Texas. Highlights include concerts at Fort Worth’s Will Rogers Auditorium, Dallas Southside, Brenham Sprang Thang, North Texas Biker Rally, and On Earth Music Festival.
He moved to Houston in 2020 and on works with ministries in the Houston area.
He also started the VR video production company VR Tejas.
